Oklahoma State’s men’s basketball team started the game on a 28-5 run, and coasted to a 93-40 win over Utah Valley on Tuesday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.

Six Cowboys scored in double figures, led by reserve guard Phil Forte, who scored 19 points and made four 3-pointers.

Freshman Stevie Clark added 16 points and hit three 3’s.

Marcus Smart scored 14 points and set OSU’s single game record for steals with nine.

Le’Bryan Nash scored 11 points, while Brian Williams and Markel Brown added 10 apiece.

OSU scored on three alley-oop dunks in the first half, and hit 10 of their 14 made 3’s in the opening 20 minutes.

The Wolverines were held to just 29 percent field goal shooting and committed 23 turnovers.

OSU improves to 2-0 on the season and will host Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Friday night in Stillwater.
