NORMAN, Okla. – The Norman City Council has approved a $39 million, five-story apartment complex on the southeast corner of Lindsey St. and Classen Blvd.

The 197-unit complex, called “The Millennium,” is expected to appeal to university students.

While one city councilor said he hoped it would set a high standard for more projects, there were some complaints about it depressing rent prices in Norman.

One of the architects on the project is the same one who was part of the design team for the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum, Hans Butzer.
