INOLA, Okla. - Oklahoma Highway Patrol divers are investigating another Oklahoma waterway where at least 17 cars have been found submerged.

A couple of months ago we told you about the discovery of two cars and several bodies at the bottom of Foss Lake.

They resolved two "missing persons" cases that were over four decades old.

That recovery is underway at the McClellan-Kerr navigation channel near Inola. Cars found in Lake Inola OHP

Once again, troopers made the discovery with new sonar equipment just as they did at Foss Lake.

Crews are using a barge and other equipment to bring the vehicles to the surface.

So far, it appears these may be stolen cars that were dumped.

No word yet if  any bodies have been recovered.
