Edmond drivers, expect more delays; Danforth still closed for track repairs

EDMOND, Okla. – Drivers in Edmond can expect more slowdowns again Thursdayas crews continue to replace railroad tracks near Edmond North High School.

Danforth is still closed from Broadway west to Thomas Dr.

Drivers cannot get through going either direction.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad is replacing a set of sinking tracks on Danforth.

Officials said they need to be raised to be even with the street.

When the replacement is complete, city crews will do asphalt repairs to complete the project.

Work was originally scheduled to wrap up Tuesday but the railroad crossing is still closed and is expected to remain closed through Thursday.

Drivers should find an alternate route.
