Texas pipeline explosion forces hundreds to evacuate according to authorities

MILFORD, TX. – A gas pipeline in Milford exploded in Milford, about 50 miles south of Dallas.

According to officials in Ellis County, a pipeline near U.S. highway 77 and Farm-to-Market- Road 308 was being worked on when it exploded.

The explosion of the pipeline forced a nearby town to evacuate and roads within a 1 mile radius to be closed.

Authorities urged all seven hundred residents to leave and as a precaution, authorities also evacuated a nearby school.

The fire was contained to a field and firefighters are letting it burn out.
