OKLAHOMA CITY – The Rise, a shopping center in Uptown 23rd, will see new retail shops, bars and restaurants popping up in the next couple months.

The center has been under repair for a year and is now taking in tenants to fill their idea of an upscale retail destination.

The vintage Texaco next to the area will become The Pump, a bar operated by Ian McDermid.

Officials said, so far, about 88 percent of the building is leased.

Tenants will include restaurants, a bagel shop, a whiskey and cigar restaurant and lounge, a tea house, Pilates studio, a T-shirt design shop and others.
