Woman facing charges after allegedly driving drunk, killing other driver

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City woman is facing serious charges after allegedly killing another woman while driving under the influence.

Authorities say 20-year-old Chandler Kardaras is facing a charge of DUI manslaughter for the death of Debra Reed.

Officials from the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office rushed to the scene of a head-on collision on August 30 on N. Portland Ave., near N.W. 192nd St.

Investigators learned that Kardaras cross the center line and hit Reed’s vehicle head on.

Reed died from her injuries.

Deputies determined that Kardaras had been drinking alcohol throughout the night and her blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.
