OKLAHOMA CITY - News Channel 4 is teaming up with Paycom and Remington Park to kickoff a program started more than 30 years ago with the Salvation Army, Brad Edwards Warmth 4 Winter.

The late Brad Edwards, who was always In Your Corner, was driving to work years ago when he noticed children walking outside in the freezing cold without coats.

From that day on, he wanted to help ensure every child had a warm winter coat and we are working to carry on the mission.

We will be kicking off the annual program this year Dec. 12 with an evening full of free family fun at Remington Park with the help of Paycom.

Parents and children can come for an afternoon of holiday cheer with train rides, pictures with Santa and hot cocoa all to support a great effort to help the community.

Members of the News Channel 4 family, including Brad's daughter Ashton Edwards, will be there with the Salvation Army and other volunteers to take your coat donations to help others without this winter.

More details will be announced as we get closer to the event.

The YMCA and the Rotary Club of South Oklahoma City are lending their generosity to the program as well.

If you know anyone in need of a winter coat, contact that Salvation Army at (405) 246-1100.
