Garfield County inmate found in cell dead

Garfield County, Okla. – According to authorities, at approximately 4:30 a.m. Saturday, a Garfield County Detention Facility Detainee was found unresponsive in her cell.

Police identified the detainee as 26-year old Jordan Thompson.

Thompson was arrested Friday evening by an officer with the Enid Police Department.

She was booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility at 7:00 p.m. on three misdemeanor charges and one felony charge, according to Garfield County Police.

The death was reported to the Jail inspection Division of the Oklahoma State Department of Health, as wells as the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
