Carney thanks first responders, volunteers, KFOR-TV after May tornadoes

CARNEY, Okla. – The town of Carney is celebrating their survival and recovery from the May 19 tornado.

KFOR was invited to celebrate the town’s road to rebuilding; no lives were lost in the storm.

Meteorologist Chase Thomason went on the road to Carney to accept a certificate of gratitude on behalf of News Channel 4.

The first Habitat for Humanity home recently started construction and the town has pulled together to start rebuilding.
