OKLAHOMA CITY – One man is in jail right now after leading police on an unusual chase that never exceeded 50 miles per hour.

Around 1:30 a.m. police said they saw a truck driving slowly and tried to stop the driver over near N.W. 36th St. and Penn. Ave.

But officers said he refused to stop.

He led up to 10 police cars on a low-speed chase through northwest Oklahoma City for about 45 minutes, never going faster than 50 miles per hour.

At one point, officers deployed stop sticks, taking out the man’s tires.

He finally stopped near N.W. 4th St. and Hudson.

Police said they didn’t find anything wrong with the man, or his car; everything was clear.

They said they believe he refused to stop because he thought there was a felony warrant for his arrest.
