EDMOND, Okla. – A local bank was evacuated Monday afternoon after visitors and workers reported an unusual smell.

Officials say Citizen’s Bank, located in downtown Edmond, was evacuated shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

Workers reported smelling the scent of natural gas in the building, so they evacuated as a precaution.

Crews attempted to locate the smell but were unable to find a leak.

Workers were then allowed back in the building.
