MIDWEST CITY, Okla. - While visitors usually see cute faces behind a few cages inside the Midwest City Animal Shelter, you may see a different sight the next time you visit the facility.

The Shadows in the Shelter event is being held Saturday, Dec. 7.

During that time, sponsors can fund a kennel for $100 and choose who they want to lock up.

The catch?

The person will be stuck in a kennel with one of the pets looking for a loving home and they won't be able to leave until they can get the pet adopted or raise their bail money.

The shelter has a goal of filling 12 kennels with sponsors.

All proceeds benefit Midwest City Animal Welfare and its efforts to build a sick quarantine room for the animals in need.

Adrian Sanders, with the Midwest City Animal Welfare, stopped by our studios with more information on the charity event.
