OKLAHOMA CITY - We're about to enter the season for out of control spending.

Black Friday kicks it off this week with email sales blasts, coupons and flyers that are telling you to spend to save.

Now is a good time to create a game plan before you get swept up by spending.

Experts suggest you should make a list and know how much you will spend.

Also, research sales and coupons, along with writing down purchases as you go.

Some sales are offered online so you may skip the stores and just choose your items from the comfort of your home.

While you are in a store, use your smart phone to comparison shop.

Also, some retailers offer phone-only deals.

When you decide to pay for a gift, experts say you should pay with cash if possible.

If not, use credit cards with lowest interest rates and set deadlines for repayment.
