OKLAHOMA CITY -Authorities with OG&E say it was a “switch issue” that caused thousands of residents in Oklahoma City to lose power Wednesday morning.

Around 7 a.m., OG&E confirmed that 4,789 households were without power in northern Oklahoma City.

Officials say it was a simple “switch issue” and now the number of people without electricity is down to 737.

Crews hope to have power fully restored by 12 p.m.
