Winter storm warningThe Oklahoma City metro and most of central, southern and eastern Oklahoma are now under a WINTER STORM WARNING.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for northwest Oklahoma.

Winter precip will begin to develop later Thursday morning and through the afternoon.

Expect a light mix of sleet and freezing rain starting Thursday morning along and south of Interstate 44.

Another round is likely Thursday night and Friday morning.

Anywhere from 2″- 6″ of sleet and snow is possible with locally higher amounts.

More ice is also likely to the south.

Folks who receive more sleet and freezing rain will see lesser totals.
