Gas shut off after leak evacuated businesses, closed streets near N.W. 10th St. and Robinson

UPDATE 3 p.m. – Crews said the gas has been shut off. Officials said they are releasing those evacuated back to their buildings.

UPDATE 2:55 p.m. – The gas leak has closed N.W. 10th St. at Robinson and crews are calling for city buses for the evacuees.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Crews are evacuating an area in northwest Oklahoma City because of a gas leak Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities said several businesses have been evacuated near N.W. 10th St. and Robinson.

So far no serious injuries have been reported.

Officials have not confirmed what caused the leak at this time.
