TEXAS – What became a big Christmas time tradition for many families in north Texas is coming to an end.

The “Holiday Express Riding Train” was giving free rides for kids and their parents in the evenings between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day since 2001.

Now, Joel “the Trainman” is shutting down his backyard custom belt railroad, after 13 years of joy and laughter.

Joel’s home owners insurance company dropped him say this was a liability they would not cover.

Joel says what he will miss the most is, “Love of kids, I love these smiling faces, I love to do it.”
