An Oklahoma County judge has denied the request for former Oklahoma City doctor, William Valuck, to leave the jail and go home until his trial scheduled in April.

OKLAHOMA CITY – A former Oklahoma City doctor is now behind bars at the Oklahoma County Jail.

Authorities arrested 71-year-old William Valuck last week at his home in Texas.

He was charged with nine counts of homicide, as well as 43 counts of drug distribution.

Officials say eight patients died of prescription drug overdoses and another patient was accused of causing a fatal traffic accident.

Back in 2002, he was convicted of money laundering, wire fraud and scheming to defraud investors of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

He spent several years in federal prison before being released and moving to Texas.
