It was found near I-40 and Reno, Friday afternoon.

Homicide investigators responded to the scene and are looking into what happened.

Police say the skull appears to be very old and had been buried for sometime.

The skull is being transported to the Medical Examiner to determine the age, and cause of death.

Investigators are continuing to dig through the rest of the dirt to see if there are any more remains.
