Evacuations are now underway in Indonesia where a volcano has rumbled to life.
The waves of ash have also destroyed homes and crops of residents nearby.
Right now, the volcano status is at its highest alert.
Residents are being warned to stay at least three miles away from the crater.
More than 21,000 people are currently staying in temporary shelters.
Prior to this latest activity, officials said the volcano was dormant for about 400 years.
