NORMAN, OKLA. - At least 6 Oklahoma families are furious with Glenn McCoy and his company, A Better Choice Construction.

Becky Starnes hired the contractor to redo her floors.

“First time they did the floors they left big gaps in it,” she said.

She took McCoy to small claims court and won.

So did Skyler and Brittany McAnally.

“Starting our new business, he almost ended it for us,” Brittany said.

The couple claims McCoy did sub-par work, bailed on the job and failed to pay the plumbing contractor.

Customer, Kimbra Boggs, says she's been waiting on her new roof for over a year.

“I have holes in my ceiling,” she said. “I have mold growing and we don't have another 10 grand to pay.” Patricia miller is also out thousands of dollars.

“We hired Glenn McCoy to do our tornado damaged home from the May 20th tornado,” Patricia said.

She got her new roof, but McCoy's chimney work had to be ripped out and replaced.

The In Your Corner team also received complaints from several of McCoy's former subcontractors who say McCoy owes them a bunch of money.

We reached McCoy over the phone.

He says most of the allegations against him are false and blames subcontractors for his mounting troubles.

He keeps turning down our request for an on-camera interview.

He says he'll talk, but only after all of his disputes are resolved.

Meanwhile the contractor is insured and bonded, so dissatisfied customers do have the option to file claims against McCoy's policies, but even then there's no guarantee of a refund.

We'll check back.
