Head-on-collision puts one in the hospital

NORMAN – At approximately 6:40 p.m. the Norman Police Department, Norman Fire Department, and EMSA personnel responded to a two car head-on collision in the 3600 block of North Flood Avenue.

According to officials, the driver of the Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on Flood  Avenue when his vehicle was struck by a Honda FIT which was southbound on Flood Avenue, attempting to make a left hand turn.

The driver of the Honda FIT suffered significant injuries and was transported by EMSA to a local hospital for treatment, according to Norman officials.

The occupants of the Dodge Charger were treated at the scene and released.

The collision is currently under investigation by the Norman Police Department’s.
