Edmond Honor Guard to Travel to Washington DC to participate in the National Police Memorial Service

EDMOND – The Edmond Police Department Honor Guard  has  been invited to participate in the National Police Memorial Service in Washington DC.

The event will commence on May 11th and conclude on May 16th, 2014. This will be a wonderful opportunity for the Edmond Community to have our police department represented at this very special and moving event.

The National Ceremony will honor federal, state and local law enforcers for their dedication and sacrifice.

The blue-grey marble walls of the Police Memorial in Judicial Square are inscribed with the names of more than 17,500 officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

Edmond Officers will be participating in the Candlelight Vigil to honor these officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their communities.
