OKLAHOMA CITY – Parents have the chance to learn more about a new charter school downtown Tuesday.

Enrollment for the John Rex Charter Elementary School begins next month.

The school opens next year.

Those interested can learn more at a public forum Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library.

School leaders will be talking about the enrollment and application process for pre-k through second grade students.

Parents who live within the defined attendance area must “opt in” to reserve their children’s spots.

Officials said 280 spots are available when school starts next fall.
