OKLAHOMA – The flu continues to take a toll here in the Sooner state – with more deaths reported over the last week.

Eight more Oklahomans have died as a result of the flu since this time last week. That brings the total number to 20.

Those numbers include two children under the age of four, 12 people between the ages of 18 to 64 and 6 others who were 65 or older.

Add to that, dozens more people were hospitalized bringing that total to 575.

It’s not too late to get a flu shot. Flu season will be here for a few more months.

Vaccinations are offered at health care provider offices, clinics, health departments, pharmacies and many college health centers.
