OKLAHOMA CITY – Great news for all the soccer fans in Oklahoma City.

One of our city’s parks is getting a new soccer complex.

We’re talking about Woodson Park near S.W. 29th St. and Independence.

City officials said a new mutli-use soccer complex is now under construction on the west side of I-44.

The highway divides the park in half.

Crews are repurposing an existing softball field to make room for an 18-field soccer facility.

Three of those will be adult fields, the other 15 will be for kids of different ages.

Contractors will also add a new adult-sized baseball field, playground, basketball court and three new parking lots.

The project is scheduled to be complete next spring.
