Company recalls thousands of packages of soup for misbranding

WASHINGTON – A Pennsylvania food company is recalling thousands of pounds of soup because of misbranding.

ConAgra Foods is recalling 54,673 pounds of chicken noodle soup products because of misbranding and undeclared allergens.

The product is made with wheat and egg, which are not listed on the label.

The soup that is affected is as follows:

  • 14 oz. microwave bowls of “Healthy Choice Chicken with Rice” with the establishment number “P-770” inside the USDA Mark of Inspection. It also has the best by date of “JUN092015.”

The soup was made Dec. 16, 2013 and sent to stores across the country.
