Oklahoma lighting up: OKC, Tulsa make top 10 “Pack-A-Day” cities list

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sooner State is lighting up the top 10 list of smoking cities, according to a the latest Men’s Health issue.

Oklahoma City comes in at #6 and Tulsa is #9 in the list of cities where the most people are lighting up in the U.S.

St. Louis, Missouri, is at the top of the list with the most smokers and Salt Lake City, Utah, ranked a the most smoke-free city, according to the March issue of Men’s Health.

Men’s Health said it looked at the percentage of those who smoked daily, some days and those who used to smoke.

It factored in those with COPD, lung cancer and death rates.

State smoking laws and smoking cessation programs were also considered.
