OKLAHOMA CITY – A battle between a handicapped teenager and the Oklahoma City School District has taken a new turn.

Madridd Brisboe is confined to a wheelchair.

Every morning, the school district sends a specially equipped bus to her home.

However, it’s not always reliable.

Madridd and her mother tell us the automatic lift malfunctioned on two different buses, leaving Madridd stuck.

After our story aired, the district promised they would fix the situation, so we checked back.

Monday morning, NewsChannel 4 met Madridd at her bus stop to make sure this lift is working properly.

It was and she made it to school on time.

The district also says they have taken the two malfunctioning buses off the route.
