UPDATE: Officials said no sign of Blackwell standoff suspect in home

UPDATE: Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s George Brown said there is no sign of the standoff suspect in the Blackwell home Monday, according to PoncaCityNow.com.

Chelsea Tays with the Ponca City Now reported the tactical team went into the house and couldn’t find the man who was thought to be barricaded inside.

Officials said they are now searching the area.

BLACKWELL, Okla. – Crews are investigating a standoff in Blackwell Monday morning.

Authorities said a man went to his office and threatened to harm himself early Monday morning.

Police went to his house where they said the man barricaded himself inside.

Officials said the man’s wife and brother safely got out of the home.

Crews have not said if the suspect is armed.

Authorities said no schools in the area are in danger.
