UPDATE: Sticky situation after truck spills syrup on roadway; lanes back open

OKLAHOMA CITY – Crews are working to clean up a sticky situation for drivers Wednesday morning.

All lanes of westbound I-44 are back open between 36th St. and S.W. 89th St. after the syrup spill.

Officials said the truck was headed from Missouri to a Braum’s in Tuttle.

The truck was carrying about 48,000 pounds of syrup.

No word on how much of that spilled onto the highway.
