When you think of medical procedures that enhance your appearance, many people immediately think women are the ones going under the knife.

However, a popular trend is now causing more men to consider cosmetic procedures.

Now, experts say more men are opting to have beard transplants.

This trendy procedure is for men looking to have thick, bushy beards.

Costing upwards of $7,000, the nearly painless and scarless procedure takes hair from the back of the head or chest and implants it on the bare section of the face.

Although more men are becoming fans of the beard, research shows that women do not agree.

According to a Northumbria University study, light stubble is more attractive to women and preferred for relationships.
