OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Chapter of the NAACP is getting involved after a Moore man died in police custody earlier this month.

The organization is calling for the FBI and the Department of Justice to investigate the death of Luis Rodriguez.

Oklahoma’s NAACP President Anthony Douglas said,” The major issue is whether or not excessive force was used and whether or not the civil rights of Mr. Rodriguez were violated.”

The organization said it is now calling for an independent investigation to ensure justice is served.
