Big changes in Bricktown OKC coming; why your commute may take longer

OKLAHOMA CITY – Big traffic changes are coming to the downtown area of Oklahoma City March 1 – 7.

Several roads will be closed off due to construction.

Changes to this week’s advisory are shown in red.­­­

Here’s a list of streets that will be closed off or reduced to one lane:

Walker will be reduced from Reno to Sheridan to one north bound lane for private downtown renovations.

Gaylord will be reduced from Reno to SW 3rd to three north bound and two south bound lanes of traffic daily.

Lee will be closed between Couch and Kerr for private utility relocation’s.

Kerr closed between Shartel and Dewey. Access maintained to local parking lots.

Main reduced from Shartel to Lee for the construction of the new police headquarters.

Couch closed to traffic between Robinson and Broadway.

Robinson closed between Kerr and Park and McGee and Kerr.

The intersection of McGee and Robinson is closed to traffic.

McGee closed to thru traffic between Robinson and Broadway.
