Large fire engulfs several apartment buildings in Woodward County

WOODWARD, Okla. – At least 20 apartments were burned Saturday night in the town of Woodward.

A massive fire engulfed the building.

Fire crews say at least 20 units were burned.

40 residents were evacuated from their homes.

The fire burned out of control for several hours, according to officials.

Numerous fire departments from around the area were called in to help with battling the blaze.

The city has set up a temporary shelter for residents who lost their home. The Red Cross has also stepped in to help out.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
