OKLAHOMA CITY – A ban on the sale of e-cigarettes to minors is now headed to the Oklahoma House floor.
House Bill 2904 modifies a current law keeping underage kids from smoking tobacco to include nicotine delivery devices like e-cigs.
In 2012, authorities estimated the e-cigarette market to be a $300 business.
Officials said now the percentage of high school students who use e-cigs has more than doubled.
Those who support the bill said the measure isn’t designed to stop the use of e-cigarettes but to keep children from using them.
