Artificial heart patient dies 10 weeks after procedure

The first patient in the world to receive an artificial heart transplant has died, 75 days after the procedure took place.

The 76-year-old patient received the artificial heart after being diagnosed with terminal heart failure.

He was only given a few weeks to live when the procedure took place.

As of right now, the hospital has reported that the exact cause of death is unknown.

Other patients that are suffering from terminal heart failure are also set to receive artificial heart transplants soon.
