UPDATE: Pinned driver is ‘awake and alert’ after freed from semi rollover accident outside of Oklahoma City

UPDATE 5:20 p.m. - Gregory Milbourn has been named as the driver that was pinned under the semi for nearly an hour.

According to reports, Milbourn swerved to avoid hitting another work truck that pulled out in front of him.

Officials say that have ticketed the work truck that caused the accident.

UPDATE 11:20 a.m. - Emergency crews said the truck driver is "awake and alert" after being freed from under his semi in a rollover accident Friday morning.

A medical helicopter has taken the driver to the hospital in unknown condition.

Oklahoma City Fire Maj. Brian Stanaland said the semi was the only vehicle involved in this accident at 9200 Highway 4 near W. Britton Rd. and N. Piedmont Rd. in Yukon.

Crews were first called to the accident at about 10 a.m. and were able to free the driver less than an hour later.

Officials have not confirmed what led to the accident but a front tire is blown out on the truck.

Crews have not released the driver's identity.

UPDATE 10:45 a.m. - Fire crews are using the "jaws of life" to try to free the driver whose legs are pinned under the semi after it rolled over in Yukon.

Roads are closed in the area while crews work to help the driver.

Bob Moore Chopper 4 pilot Jon Welsh is over the scene.

Authorities said the driver is trapped under the cab but they have not confirmed his condition.
