MOORE, Okla. – Tornado victims in Moore are receiving a special delivery today.

A package of letters will be arriving sent from victims of the tsunami in Japan.

The letters, pictures and cards are from disaster survivors in Fukushima, reaching out to encourage storm survivors here in Oklahoma.

They were sent to the director of elementary education in Moore.

We’re told she’ll be passing them out today to survivors of the May 20 tornado.

Coincidentally, sharing the letters coincides with the third anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

We’re told some students in Moore are hoping to write letters for other disaster survivors, to keep this effort going.
