OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City leaders are looking to crack down on a well-known nuisance apartment complex.

The former Lantana apartments on Northwest 10th near Rockwell have been vacant for years and have become a frequent source of fires and crimes.

On Tuesday, the city Council declared several buildings secured.

The city has plans to board up the complex, but because of the expense there are no plans to demolish the property.

The city says the complex does have a new owner, who they are working with to try and revive the long vacant property.
