OKLAHOMA CITY – As the temperatures are warming up across the state, more people are wanting to get outside and enjoy the start of spring.

However, some Oklahomans are still feeling a bit under the weather.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health released the latest flu numbers on Thursday morning.

It seems fewer people are becoming sick with the flu.

However, your allergies may be what’s making you feel like staying in bed.

So far, 53 Oklahomans have died as a result of the flu since late September 2013.

In addition, 1,260 people have been hospitalized since September.

While 15 people have been hospitalized in the last week, officials say flu season is winding down in the state.

In fact, new cases that have been diagnosed this month are lower than the same time span over the last two years.
