Elevated fire danger: Lows in the 30s-40s Thursday evening

Friday will feature sunshine for most of the day, however a chance for showers and a few thunderstorms will increase at night and last through the day on Saturday.

Showers and thunderstorms will last through early Sunday.  Southeastern Oklahoma will see the highest rain totals to 2″, Central Oklahoma can expect .25″-1″.

Western Oklahoma will have less than .25″.  Stay tuned for updates. There is a slight risk for severe storms in southeastern Oklahoma where hail and winds will be the main threats.

Temperatures will be much cooler due to the rain in the 50s.

Another warmup will take us through the beginning of next work week with highs in the low to middle 70s
