Passengers shaken, crews investigating after plane aborts takeoff, bounces down runway

PHILADELPHIA – Crews have removed a plane that was forced to bail out of take off at the last second when it blew a tire Thursday night.

Passengers ran from the U.S. Airways flight on the runway and some shot video while doing it.

The flight was on the way to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, when the front tire blew out sending the front end of the plane to the ground.

The plane didn’t take off but bounced downtown the runway and the nose gear collapsed.

Safety inspectors are now investigating the accident.
