CALIFORNIA – Police in northern California have arrested a father for allegedly biting off his infant son’s nose because he was frustrated with the baby’s crying.

Fairfield police have arrested 18-year-old Joshua Cooper for child cruelty and aggravated mayhem.

Officers responded Thursday morning to a call from a woman saying her infant child was bleeding from his nose.

When they arrived, they found a one-month-old bleeding from the face.

The infant was transported to Oakland Children’s Hospital, where doctors determined the infant had suffered a skull fracture and a brain hemorrhage. One third of the child’s nose had also been severed off.

The child is in stable condition.
