Police arrest pair found lying in S.W. Oklahoma City street, child in stroller nearby

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police say they arrested two people after they were allegedly found lying in the middle of a southwest Oklahoma City road.

Officers were called to the area of S.W. 35th St. and Villa to check the welfare of a couple of people who were in the street.

When they arrived, police say they found 26-year-old Marsha Harjo and 52-year-old Jay Harjo.

According to the arrest affidavit, Marsha Harjo was laying on her left side in the street and Jay Harjo were sitting in the street next to her.harjo,jayvon

Authorities say Marsha Harjo could not walk or stand on her own and Jay Harjo was able to stand but was struggling to make it to the curb.

Officers say Marsha’s three children, including an infant in a stroller, were also in the street.

According to the report, both suspects had slurred speech, watery eyes and smelled of alcohol.

Authorities say Marsha Harjo is facing charges of a parent engaging in child neglect and public drunk.

Also, Jay Harjo is facing charges of public drunk.
