OKLAHOMA CITY - It's almost spring, which means many people are already planning how their gardens will look and enjoying the warmer weather.

Along with spring comes rain, and while it is a welcome sight, those showers can be damaging to your home.

Water-related losses tend to be a big issue for homeowners.

When you think of leaks, you probably immediately assume it has something to do with your roof.

Experts say leaks are also common around chimneys, attic vents, windows and doors.

Replacing sealant and repairing leaks is very important to stop damage before it gets worse.

Also, now is good time to check your water heater, dishwasher hoses, refrigerator hoses and washing machines for issues.

If you do find a problem, act fast and get the water turned off immediately.
