For the first time in program history, the Oklahoma men’s tennis team is ranked number one in the nation.

The Sooners elevated to the top spot this week after being ranked #2 the week before.

OU started the season ranked 10th, and have won six straight, including a win over then-top ranked Ohio State March 7.

The Sooners’ last loss was Feb. 15th to then #1 UCLA.

OU’s next match is Wednesday vs. Pepperdine in Malibu.

Oklahoma is coached by John Roddick, the older brother of former U.S. Open champion Andy  Roddick.
