(Cleveland, OH)—
Oklahoma City Thunder basketball star Russell Westbrook will *not* play tonight when the Thunder visits the Cleveland Cavaliers at 6pm in Ohio. Westbrook will be held out as part of the post-All Star break plan to rest the elite point guard when the Thunder plays what’s called “back-to-back” situations. That’s games on consecutive nights at different locales.

The Thunder will travel to Canada for a game against the Toronto Raptors tomorrow night, so Westbrook will be available for that game against a much better Toronto club than the injury-riddled Cavaliers.

Cleveland will take the court tonight without it’s top 3 players…all-star guard Kyrie Irving (biceps arm injury), former all-star forward Luol Deng (ankle injury) and C. J. Miles (hip injury), so OKC should win the game without Westbrook’s services.

If the Thunder does win, it will be victory #50 on the season, keeping OKC in the chase for the best record in the Western Conference. The game tips off tonight at 6:00pm in Cleveland.
