ST. LOUIS – Three elephants escaped from the Shrine Circus near St. Louis Saturday.

One Circus goer took video with her cell phone — the elephants were spotted off in the distance.

Witnesses say it took the trainers about 45 minutes to corral the three elephants.

No one was injured but the animals did damage several vehicles.

Witnesses who were inside the arena for the Shrine Circus say the crowd was yelling when the animals got spooked – busting out the doors.

The elephants didn’t get any significant dents or scratches, but after their ordeal, the circus gave them a break for Saturday’s night’s performance.
